Taught Modules
The Urban Ministry and Theology Project works in partnership with local theological education providers to deliver modules on urban theology. At present there are two taught modules. A module entitled Theology in the City: Regeneration in the Urban Context is taught as part of the MA in Theology and Ministry delivered by Crammer Hall in partnership with Durham University, the Wesley Study Centre and Ushaw College. Sessions are held in the locality of Byker and Walker and students take part in visits to regeneration projects supported by the local churches. The module is usually available in the autumn term and may be audited by those who are not part of the MA course. Handbook Entry for Theology in the City A module entitled Theology and Practice in Context: A Module in Urban Theology is taught it partnership with the Newcastle Diocese Ordained Local Ministry Scheme and Readers Training Course. It is a level 2 module and is validated with Durham University. The module may also be taken by independent students of any denomination.
