UMTP Theological Training and Education Post &
Priest in Charge St Michael's and St Martin's Parishes


Come and join MINE!

The Bishop of Newcastle, the parishes of St Martin and St Michael Byker and the proposed new Mission Initiative, Newcastle East (formerly UMTP) are looking to appoint a priest to act as CO-ORDINATOR who will:
  • be priest to two of our parishes, both in Byker (Resolutions A and B):
    St Michael’s presently a shop-front church with plans to refurbish its old church building which overlooks the city and
    St Martin’s a new church centre working in partnership with many different organisations.
  • develop a Centre for Contextual Theology in partnership with the RTP
  • help us reflect on all that has happened
  • help us take our story and our learning to other parts of the church

This challenging role requires someone with energy, insight and wisdom!
