He is priest in charge of both St Martin's, Byker and St Michael's, Byker. He served a curacy in the North Shields Team starting in September 1995 to 1999 and moved to Byker in September 1999. He leads the theological education task of UMTP as well as being actively involved in its other aspects. He is the lead tutor on the urban theology modules and units taught by UMTP.
