Steve Dixon is a Church Army Officer working as UMTP staff member
responsible for Fresh Expressions of Church. Steve joined UMTP in 2003 after
three years of training with Church Army in Sheffield and began the
Sustainable Church Project based at St Michael's Byker. He has a gift and
passion for sharing the faith with children and young people and has
developed Fresh Expressions which engage with the young people of Byker.
Steve is married to Clare with two children, and in his former years worked
as a broadcast engineer, a cabinet maker and in the CCTV industry. In his
spare time (and much to Clare's consternation), Steve loves to take things
apart to find out how they work and has an extensive collection of left over parts!
